THE SWEETNESS, THE SPOIL

You know nothing tastes awful and bitter than to confess, especially one you are not proud of. You tend to hate self for doing what you did, forgetting that you once wanted or even needed it by all cost. Everyone makes mistake no doubt, and most are under the influence of youthful exuberance. You know that feeling of trying something new not minding the effects be it negative or positive.



 We were all kids,
We played naked in the streets of Lagos.
Life was fun and the feeling was sweet.
But then we heard that there is a sweeter feeling,
So we wished to be like that bros who always brought in different ladies.
We were impatient to experiment
Since we couldn't see what they always did,
We wanted to get a feel of it.
Then we were introduced to films with blue backgrounds;
Later heard it's called blue film.
Got addicted to feelings that became more like an addiction.
We became the reigning guys because we got experience
Experience of how death tastes like...


... But now,
all I plead for is the innocence of my childhood.
  I don't even know where I lost it
Because I knew what I should know now when I was barely 3.
I'm confused if I was even innocent in the first place.

 I'm proud to be me because in all they all define whom I've become. And just like King Solomon, I confess; Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity!
