MY PRESIDENT SAYS I'M LAZY

Image result for BUHARI- NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE LAZYMy president says I’m lazy!
I think I deserve some accolades!
I am a young man in my 30s I struggle every day just to get by. Every day, I work hard using my intellectual ability and skill to make a living legitimately, toiling under the unbearable and harsh conditions in my country, yet my president says I’m lazy and want everything for free.

I take care of my bills, pay house rent, pay tax and settle extended responsibilities. I do for myself what my government is supposed to do for me but has failed to do, yet my president says I’m lazy and want everything for free.

I am not registered at a gym but my biceps are not lacking healthy muscles, because I exercise them every night (and almost every other time) when I have to draw my generator just to have electricity supply, yet my president says I’m lazy and want everything for free.

When I’m sick I’m treated at the local hospital where I risk being injected with overdose or with the wrong medicine by the nurse, but when my president has a headache, he travels to London to buy panadol, yet he says I’m lazy and want everything for free.

My neighbor wakes up every morning at 4:30 am to set out for his office in Ikoyi and returns back home 10pm at night, yet my president says he is lazy and wants everything for free.

While I sit tight in a Lagos traffic, trying to block out the cacophony of blaring horns from other motorists, I see young people hawking variables- sometimes under the unfriendly sun and sometimes in the dead of the night, yet my president says these people are lazy and want everything for free.

Every year, thousands of youth struggle to graduate from the University, the female ones who were unlucky get sexually harrassed by male lecturers but they finally pull through, then they are sent to strange lands to serve the country, when they’re done, the big government official tells them to go and be self employed so that they can create job opportunities for others, yet my president says we are lazy and want everything for free.

My heart bleeds for those young Nigerian entrepreneurs who cannot get access to soft loans because they are not connected to a big man in government, but my President believes they are lazy and want everything free.

Qualified young Nigerians cannot be employed in the CBN or NNPC or NIMASA because they are not sons and relatives of governors, senators or ministers, yet my president says they are lazy and want free things.

I feel sorry for those young Nigerian inventors who have been going to the ministry of science and technology to present their life-changing inventions to the big man in office but can’t because the big government man is either out of office, or he is busy, or he has travelled, and when he finally sees them, he tells them to come back tomorrow… tomorrow that never ends. I feel sorry for them because my president believes they are lazy and want everything for free.

The senators in my country earn a lump sum of N14.250 million (minus other allowances) every month. They sat down in their “hallowed” chambers, unperturbed, and watched how some armless youths strolled into the senate, seized the mace and walked out unchallenged, yet my president says it is I who is lazy and want everything for free.

I am not a minister, I don’t collect estacodes for travelling to nowhere in particular and for doing nothing, yet my president says I’m lazy and want everything for free.

My president said he was going to fight corruption to a standstill, but my president harbors corrupt people in his circle and in some, cases rewarded them. My president said he was going to build a prosperous and vibrant economy for us, yet our economy has fallen deeper but he blames it on the past government. My president said he was going to create three million jobs yearly, in under three years, over 7 million Nigerians have lost their jobs. My president said he is now a reformed democrat but severally my president has displayed a flagrant disregard for the rule of law. Yet my president says I am lazy and want everything for free.

My president is the 75 years old Muhammadu Buhari of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As an African, who has respect for elders, our culture has been ingrained in me, I cannot argue with elders. I’m not interested in proving to the president that I am not lazy, I will save all the energy so that in 2019 I can have enough strength to go to my polling unit, wait patiently in line, get the ballot paper and vote out my president. #MyPVCmyPower

True Situation Analysis of Life.

After Secondary School..
All your classmates have gone in different directions in the world.
Some have completed universities and are now:
Doctors, Engineers, Teachers, Pilots, Lawyers, Administrators, etc.
Some are married,
Some have given birth,
Some are still searching and waiting on the Lord.
Some are dead, don't forget that too.
And others are on the sick bed,
Some are running their higher degrees: Masters, PHD, etc.
Some haven't even gained admission into the tertiary institution and may NEVER be able to.
Some own companies,
Some are now Directors and major  shareholders in global companies.
But how do you feel
When you meet your classmates, and it seems like he/she has accomplished their   dreams
And you're not yet close to yours?
So many thoughts run through your mind, right?
First, you think God has not been fair to you.
How about the ones you meet on the street wearing dirty cloths  and still struggling for survival ?
Do you get the same thoughts running through your mind?
I guess, NO.
Don't forget too that some are already dead.
Somehow it feels natural to have that  feeling of jealous for those mates who seem better off,  but it is really unnecessary.
There is no room for regrets,
We are all different and our paths to greatness are also not the same in distance.
Some might have arrived earlier before you and some  after you, but whatever level you find yourself in life,
Please keep trying to break limitations and move further.
Celebrate the success of others, its an indication that yours too shall surely come.
Your friend buys a car now, be happy with him/ her.
Remember when you'll buy yours,
theirs might not  be the latest again.
There's no permanent champion, but current champion.
Life is not about competition, do not be in a race with anyone; remember,  we may seem to be reading the same book but different chapters at different times.
Don't let the passion in you  kill the desire in you, keep it burning.
What you're  passing through today;
Write it down because one day the world would be ready to read it,  they'll become part of your success story.
There's no height you cannot attain, believe in yourself, define your goals,  recognize distractions and don't stop striving.
Spend time teaching yourself, because those things that mainly take people to the top are the things they devoted their time to develop.
Don't be intimidated by your friend's success, the sky is wide enough for birds to fly without touching one another.
Value every little thing that God brings into our life, love God and obey Him.
For with God, all things are possible.

*Now to those who are on top Never forget to give a helping hand to those who are down.Because Life is full of uncertainties; the one you pull up today, may be the one to hold your hands and prevent you from falling tomorrow*
A piece of advice there, food for thought

Share this to all your friends and let them realize that God has a purpose in their lives.May God bless you.

SILENCE SPEAKS VOLUME

I sat down silently for hours pondering over the power of silence. How can "no words" said complete a sentence. I had once watched a women, who was told to tell her own part of the story, break down. Looking at her, one would obviously see that she wasn't intending to say a word, but we all understood what was making her chest expand and contrast intermittently. At a point, tears clustered in her eyelashes as we watched and listened to her communicate through silence. She bursted into tears when she was done communicating. It sounds awkward right?

Jim Fannin wrote; "Silence is prevalent within the greatest speeches in the world. The dramatic pause has been mastered by the best orators of our time. With strategically placed silence, listening and retention increases 30-40% Silence is an equalizer in an argument or verbal confrontation."

In clinical psychology, silence is a therapuetic tool which if applied, would have saved some regrettable events from happening. One of my friends is behind bars now because he failed to be silent when he should: yes, when he should. Inasmuch as silence is so volumic, there are times when muting it will be necessary.

Action speaks louder than words, but silence speaks volume. An ugly incidence happened during my first year in the university. One of my roommates threw my pot down from our four storey hostel building because we had a little clash. This roommate of mine was the school's Editor in Chief, and he always bragged about how he could walk into any office in the school without any restriction. It was obvious that he was well known, that was why he had the guts to do what he did. When I walked into the room, a sudden silence reigned. All eyes that were on me got me confused at first, but I didn't bother to ask anyone why the look becasue I could predict it. I asked them who took my pot, and one of my roommates told me that Editor had thrown it down the building. I was so angry that I felt like crushing him. In my anger, I noticed that the room grew quieter and I felt the effect of their stare on my skin. So many things ran through my mind, but I was still in all. I left the room without saying a word to Editor who was at a corner raising his shoulders up with the believe that he was covered. I went straight to where he threw the pot, washed and kept it inside my cupboard. Everyone there was surprised because most of them complimented my maturity confessing that they would have reacted if in my shoes.
When I was done with the silence therapy, Editor respected me more than other roommates thinking we were agemates till he left the school.

One of the amazing things about silence is that it is ambiguous. If done for the right course, it makes one wise because it gives room to think, analyse and strategize. Have you noticed that you see things from a blur angle when you are tensed or angry? But silence can help clear the blurriness after being calm.

My dad was always good at using silence to tell us that we were in for big trouble.
Few weeks ago when we were arranging things in the our local church for a spoken word concert, things weren't going the way I wanted. As the chairman of the planning committee, I wasn't happy. The guys setting the instruments were cracking jokes more than they should work. When I approached them with a disappointed mood, I said nothing as I watched them readjust into seriousness. I wanted to say something, but on the second thought, what was the need when my silence had conveyed the message perfectly to them.

I saw one movie that swept across every part of the country; "Last trip to Abuja." The only thing I love in that movie was Omotola Jalade Ekeinde's silence when she caught her fiancé cheating on her. At a point, he wasn't feeling safe that he parked the car on their to the airport:- thats the power of silence, and also evidence that silence speaks volumes.

What does the silent mood of a doctor signify after the death of a patient?

You don't need to shout to be heard: remember empty vessels make loudest noise. Fill yourself with knowledge and then understand what you know before you practise it which is wisdom, I bet you, you will use silence as your best means of communication.

But then, do not misunderstand and abuse the power of silence and end up being a coward. Speak when you want to talk, act when you want to communicate, and be silent when you have much to say or communicate.

TIME TO FIGHT

I don't really enjoy writing politics on social media, but let me comment on what Sai Baba said concerning his comment about lazy and uneducated youths of Nigeria which has gone viral.

But firs let me laugh... 😆🤣🤣🤣...

Thank you for your patience. I do hope you at least smiled while I laughed. Now back to the matter.
We used to have this old crazy neighbor back who believed he could bang at our door at will to ask us some crazy questions. The craziest thing was that he always came around 4am when the sleep will be so sweet. #youknowwhatIamsaying? Out of respect, we started complaining quietly to that abuse. (That's what the Nigerians youths have been doing all these while.)
At a point we stopped opening the door to hear him rant. Whenever we hear the bang or knock, that would be when we would adjust and sleep deeper.

A day came that one of my younger brother's friends slept over at our place. This disturber came again, and unfortunately for this friend who slept over, he stood up and opened the door because he already knew it was a neighbor knocking. But as soon as he opened the door, the ranter started as usual, and the friend was so disappointed that he shot the door behind the man as he was still ranting. He started grumbling as he was laying down to continue his disturbed sleep. I didn't really hear what he said but I heard this statement. "Time don reach self wey them go dey beat some old men wey no get respect." (what Nigerians should be doing to any fool fooling himself in the politics) That was when we laughed at him. He was surprised because he expected us to wake up when the man was banging at the door.

I remember that part in the bible when Jesus entered the temple and chased all those traders and gamblers. Some of those men and women obviously could be older than Him, but that wasn't His business. His business was for them to evacuate the temple.
Time has come for the youths to take the bull by horn and fight for good governance. If we all keep posting different views on this matter and do nothing, our children children will come and meet a messier country.
This is not a motivational write up but a beep to tell us that the time is right to fight. Remember, the sons of Isacchar understood the time.
Oga/madam, TIME DON REACH OOO!!!

THE AFRICAN BEAUTY

I thought I'd seen it all but then again, I was wrong. whenever I hear "the beautiful ones are not yet born", I begin to wonder and ask a question: HOW?
Take an analytical look at her.

Let me tell you my hidden truth about what happened when we first met in National Youth Service Corps camp, Tsafe, Zamfara State.
  • I tried not to blink my eyes when I first saw her, and I succeeded for the first time since I've been trying it on exceptionally beautiful ladies.
  • I didn't want to stop hugging her when we hugged. Hmmm... I'm sure you should know why.
  • I made sure I didn't hug any lady after I hugged her for some days.
  • I had several fantasies about her, and once I called her name aloud thinking I was soliloquizing.
There are more trust me.

She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen all my life, proportionately endowned (ife m n'eri... LOL), dark, good feminine height, friendly, and has a smile that could stop a raging war.

I have so many things to write about her, but no adjective have I found that is close to what and who she is. But here is my last confession, I envy the man she would walk down the isle with!

LOVE YOURSELF

I knew Ozone during my second year in the university. I don't really know his real name but he was fondly called Ozone. He had this glow that was obvious even to the blind; he looked rich, humble, and I heard he was one of the best students in his class. We all had our rooms at one of the male hostels, Mbanefo, in the University of Nigeria.

Two years later when I was away from school to undergo the mandatory six months of Industrial Training, I heard that the perfect guy in Ozone betrayed him by leaving him with rejection, frustration and hatred: he committed suicide all of a sudden. His action left everyone confused, because several guys would have gladly put on the personality as Ozone. But we were all wrong.

I have heard of many cases of suicide and I know so many people detest that act and see no reason for it at all. But again, some of the guys who detest it are real slaves to inferiority complex, they believe nothing good would ever come out of them, they lack self confidence, morale, assertiveness, nerve, poise, self-reliance, and most times, refuse to take the bull by the horn in getting what they desire.

So my question is, what's the difference between them and those who committed suicide?

Well, the answer is simple, they are still alive! But that reminds me of an Igbo phrase, Onye-wuruawu naaga-ije- meaning a walking dead.

Did anyone say that was harsh? well, no apologies because this is to arouse the giant inside of you to greatness.

Now, this is the reason why you suffer from inferiority complex and lack confidence in yourself; you don't love yourself.

This is well far away from pride. I read a book on how to kill stage fright and picked just one advice from the author. He said whenever I want to talk to an audience, I should have it at the back of my mind that I have something to say to save their lives. He said they are my debtors! That was all I needed, and now, I don't care about the number of people present, no matter their callibre, they are all indebted to me untill I finish speaking. But first, I must have something to say and be certain that my words indeed make a lot of sense.

Loving one self is the beginning of stardom, achievement of great heights, becoming wise, being a leader, a man/woman of influence etc. Forget everyone who is existing. Know this one fact, your life is all about you. No one else matters but you! Always imagine yourself to be the one-eyed man in the land of the blind.

This is what I do in front of the mirror most mornings when I wake: I tell myself how lucky I am to be me, how handsome I am, and how lucky this generation is to have me exist in it. Give yourself that appraisal you think the best of guys have, you deserve it. Come on, you are the writer of your script, and give no one the protagonist role but yourself.

Finally, read motivational books, listen to inspiring audio tape, watch inspiring videos, and surround yourself with friends who appreciate you and challenge you to challenge the status quo. If you don't love yourself, remember that your are a walking dead.

See you at the top.
Peace!

FREE AIRTIME FOR A RIDDLE ANSWERED

Three human eaters are on a journey. Each of them has a son with them on the journey, making them a total number of six. They get to a river and are faced with a little challenge of how to cross it to the other side which demands logical reasoning. So they really need the help of a very good thinker.

THEIR CHALLENGE
None of them can swim, but luckily, a boat which can only carry two of them at a time is at the river bank and all of them can sail a boat. But still, they have a problem which is the major one. None of the human eaters would dare leave her son with the other eaters because they will eat him. How can they cross the river with the boat? They are running late already, so they need your help.

Mind You
The sons don’t know that their mothers are human eaters but the women know themselves.
No mother should be in the boat with a son which is not hers.

Bonus
The women said they will send airtime to the person who can come up with a way of how the six of them can cross the river without having issues with one another. They have just three days to spend waiting for the answer at the river bank. If no answer, they would be left with no other option than to go back home. The winner would be announced on Wednesday after the women have tried all the suggestions.

Remember
They are six three mothers, three sons.
